About

I am a passionate, positive person, generally in love with life.

At 24, after finishing a M.Sc. in Italy, my native country, I left towards the unknown. When I arrived in Montreal, without speaking a word of French, I continued my graduate studies in Health Sciences and I worked in health research for 15 years. I was lucky to work in laboratories that were pioneers in epigenetics, the study of how our experiences and the environment can cause changes that affect gene expression. It was one of those laboratories that published the first study showing the importance of positive experiences in early years to learn how to cope with stress in our adult life.

As adults, we have a very important role in the development of our children, and all the children in our life: we can learn to change our outlook on life, by staying positive and calm even in difficult times, and by doing so, we can show our children how to manage their emotions. This will help our kids grow into adults who are in control of their own emotional health, and who will have less mental health issues.

At the beginning of 2020 I made the decision to go to the US to get trained in hypnosis, and became a board certified hypnotist, then in 2022 I became certified in Clinical EFT, or emotional freedom techniques and in TTT, Trauma Tapping Technique. Finally, in 2023 I became certified in the Havening Techniques®. All these techniques have been shown to change the chemistry in our brain and allow us to become more resilient in the face of difficulties, and live in peace with ourselves and with life.

It has been my passion to share these great tools with people who are open to learning them: professionals, educators, parents and children of all ages, to start a chain reaction which will take us towards a healthier society on all levels: physical, mental and emotional.

I have recently co-authored a book, with my friend and colleague Erika Neil, to teach the Havening Techniques to children. This book is a resource for parents and educators not only to easily explain Havening to little ones, but also to lean it themselves and implement Havening in their daily life.

I have recently co-authored another book, with my friend and colleague Erika Neil, an easy-to-read introduction of the Havening Techniques (HT) for teens and young adults. This book is a resource for them, and easily explains how they can use HT in different situations and moments of the day to develop emotional resilience, the ability of navigating the difficult moments of life with a calm attitude.

Introducing Havening to teens and young adults

The following interview with Valerie Probstfeld on her podcast To Mom is To Love, explains how Havening can help mothers and parents deal with the overwhelm of family life.

Erika and I have been guests on the Choose Love Podcast, hosted by Scarlett Lewis, the founder of the Choose Love Movement. In this engaging podcast we discuss easy ways to incorporate Havening into school and home life to enhance feelings of safety and support. Listen to the episode here:
